Spanish Rings flower pot holders and water rings are a range of flower pot holders inspired by the sunbaked 'white towns' of Andalucia in southern Spain. The picture shows a village street in Frigliana in the mountains above Nerja. You can produce the same 'Spanish' effect by creating your own 'Vertical Garden' with pot holders. Spanish Rings are a simple yet stunning way to display plants and water rings ensure that water is retained to help avoid the normal problems of plant roots in flowerpots drying out. Our flowerpot holders mix well with hanging baskets, planters and other plant containers to produce a Mediterranean patio garden to be proud of. Your terracotta flower pots can now cover walls, hook on trellis, line balconies or railings and attach to water pipes, drainpipes and downpipes. Any 'hanging basket' plant can be placed within a Spanish Rings pot. Geraniums ( Pelargoniums) are especially popular in Spain and small bush or trailing varieties can be used.

  Terracotta pots left at ground level during winter conditions are frequently frost damaged and will crack apart. Very often terracotta pots will also lose their rims as frozen water causes them to spal away from the main part of the flower pot.

  Water Rings cut watering to just once in 7-10 days. When planting just place one Water Ring on top of your drainage crock. Plant up as normal but leave space at the top of the pot to act as a water reservoir. Water well when first planting, the Water Ring will absorb then retain water, giving you more time to spend as you wish. Perhaps with a lovely bottle of Rioja!

Spanish Rings flower pot holders are manufactured from steel. They are sturdy enough to hold the weight of a 'fully planted and watered' terracotta pot.

The rings are coated to withstand the elements. There is a choice of colours to give you more options in your garden design.

Each type of ring is available in three sizes to hold standard pots. These are 5" or 12½ cm, 6" or 15 cm and 7" or 17½ cm in diameter. Each type of Spanish Ring has a different hook design which allows you to hang the ring in different positions to complete your vertical garden. 

The style of pots is another element in your creativity. Old moss covered clay pots weathered from years of use, can sit quite happily next to a brand new 'Long Tom'.
